What you can build with the SIM800L GSM/GPRS Module
- SMS alerts from remote sensors
- Gate and pump control by text message
- Fallback alerting where there is no Wi-Fi
- Simple asset tracking with a GPS module
Compatibility
Works with Arduino, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi over serial AT commands. Important for New Zealand: the 2G networks here have been shut down, so a SIM800L will not connect on local carriers — choose a 4G module such as the SIM7600 instead. Listed for export and legacy projects.
