The Raspberry Pi 5 M.2 HAT+ is an adapter board that connects an M.2 NVMe SSD to the Pi 5's PCIe connector, allowing the Pi to boot and run from solid-state storage instead of a microSD card.

• Connects to the Pi 5 PCIe 2.0 x1 FPC connector
• Accepts M.2 M-key NVMe SSDs in 2230 and 2242 sizes
• Stacks on the 40-pin GPIO header with standoffs

Compatibility

Fits the Raspberry Pi 5 only — earlier Pi models have no PCIe connector. Use 2230 or 2242 NVMe drives; 2280 will overhang the board. SATA M.2 drives will not work.
