DFPlayer Mini MP3 Player Module

The DFPlayer Mini packs a microSD card slot, an MP3/WAV decoder, and a small audio amplifier onto one tiny board — everything needed to add sound to a project without a microcontroller doing any audio processing itself.

Two ways to trigger it

Wire a button straight to one of its IO pins and it plays a file with zero code — handy for a doorbell or a museum push-button exhibit. Or send it serial commands from an Arduino, ESP32 or Raspberry Pi to pick a specific track, set the volume, or loop playback.

Hardware notes

• Reads MP3 and WAV files directly from a microSD card
• Onboard amplifier drives a small speaker with no extra parts
• Runs from 3.2–5 V, so it's happy on a 3.7 V LiPo or a 5 V rail
